Minty [Green] Smoothie


Valentine’s Day is tomorrow and the color of this smoothie is probably more suitable for St. Patrick’s Day; however, I can never turn down a green smoothie.
Green + Mint Smoothie

Ingredients:

– 1/2 cup unsweetened almond or other non-dairy milk

– 1 cup kale

– 1 tsp spirulina powder

– 1/8 tsp peppermint extract

– 1 tsp Matcha powder (optional)*

– 1 frozen banana

– 1 tsp maca powder

– 1 scoop Vega “Viva Vanilla” (optional)*

– carob chips, cacao nibs, or chocolate chips

In a high-speed blender, blend all ingredients together until smooth. However, instead of blending the cacao/carob, you may opt to use them as a topping.
